There and back again: a painter's tale

Why no new sketches, you may ask? Here's why:

That's a gouache portrait of the great J.R.R. Tolkien, and it is the sole project that has consumed most of my time and virtually all of my interest for the past week. I hope the end result was worth it.

NOTE: As a vain and obsessive artist, I have to point out that any white flecks you see are likely not my doing, and are in fact the result of using the large scanner at my school's library, which has been scratched and mistreated to a disgusting extent.

Sketchies

My sketchbook is more or less full, so I figure why sit on hundreds of drawings when at least 20 of them are actually decent? On that note, I'm going to try to post far more frequently, and I'm going to start with a couple of birds and a clown that's well past his prime.

For Colin

A handful of 5 to 20 minute studies dedicated to someone who had faith in my ability to draw clothes on top of all those naked people.
